Josy is a driven and passionate musician who has been a part of more than 5000 concerts, both nationally and internationally. In 2021, Josy played the bass for the composer Nandhu Kartha’s song ‘Poonkatte Porille’ from the album Poovattam. The music for the entire song featured only a single instrument – the bass guitar, creating a ‘Bass-a-Pella’. This song won Nandhu Kartha the Best Music Director Award at the IFTA International Short Film Festival 2021.
Josy’s journey with the guitar started at the age of 10. His interest in Bass was kindled by the music bands in Kerala in the eighties, and he later went on to create his own unique style. Josy’s skill for improvisations and his strong techniques has made him one of the most sought-after Bassists today.
